I wanted an upgrade for Adobe Acrobat for the Macintosh. The Adobe website is very ambiguous about how to get this. If you press on their offer for free programs along with the upgrade it takes you to Interactive Brands' site without telling you. Thinking I was still at Adobe's site, I signed up for the combination programs for $11.95. I only realized that it is a Windows-only program after putting in my credit card. Then there was no way to stop the transaction. When the bill showed up on my VISA, it was for $57. I called the number on the VISA entry and was told that 1) there are no refunds after two weeks (I was a week over, but I did not see any notice on the web site that there was a limitation on refunds); 2) that the supervisor for the switchboard people DOES NOT TAKE CALLS and there is no way to speak to anyone at the company to register complaints.
This looks very much like a scam. They hide relevant details, they use deceptive methods to get you to sign up for their products, they offer no recourse. I do not want to have almost $50.00 worth of programs that I cannot possibly use.
To be fair, the operator offered to refund $30.00 on the item (if she is able to do that, why not refund the whole amount?), but I could not agree to being stung even for the remaining $20.00.

The website clearly states the operating system requirements are for Windows ME, 2000, XP and Vista only. There is no portion on this website that says these programs are compatible with Mac.
Furthermore, during the sign up process the Terms & Conditions say that there is a trial period within which you are eligible for a refund but that after this time frame there are absolutely no refunds. You do need to agree to the Terms & Conditions in order to process your order.
If you have any technical issues, please feel free to contact me through email or telephone in and speak with a representative for any issues. To make the process easier for you, please have your 21 digit Order ID, the email address or the telephone number that you put on your account ready so that we can easily find your account and assist you.
