I researching for a few days on several options, I committed the mistake of placing an order with this company. They sent an initial warning that they were flooded with orders and that mine would take between 8-12 week for delivery.

Time started flying by and no signs of my order ever arriving so I sent a message asking if I should file a claim with my card company and here is the answer I get:

We got really behind and we apolojize for that......what we are doing now is trying to finish all orders at one time because we got a ton of orders all of a sudden and got overwhelmed.....we are currently not taking any new orders as of right now because of all the orders we have to catch up on......we are making an effort to get everyones order out at one time including yours......we sincerely apolojize for the delay as this has never happened before to us, but I guess since we handcraft each order it is taking longer with the amount of orders we have......we are looking to have every order out in the next 4 or so weeks. Again we apolojize for any inconvenience.

After such reply I got alarmed and quickly file the claim with my card company and sent another message notifying that and this is what I got:

"If your order is not ready or can not be shipped by the end of July we will happily send you a refund with no arguments. This is why we apologized. The amount of orders is our problem and Iunderstand this.......we will happily send a refund if not complete by end of July.

(mind the many typos, the messages were received that way)

End of July came and went and still no signs of my order, so I formally requested for a refund and to this date no answer has been given. Do yourself a favor and find another place were to get your wooden weapons for martial arts, don't waste time and money with this company, that from the mere messages they send, show the lack of professionalism and responsibility with their customers.

After a while they reported back with this:

The complaints are not a problem.....I have tried to refund your
account via paypal (the same way that you paid) and it tells me that
you can not receive money.....how would you like for me to send you the
refund

As usual, this turned out to be another delay to keep me in the waiting game because the
pathetic excuse was that they had not been able to refund me because I
didn't had an account with paypal. Well, how weird, I didn't need to
open an account with paypal when placing the order, they they should
have received and kept in their records a receipt paypal sends to
sellers to notify them of a payment.   I quickly replied with a message suggesting that either they ship my order the next day or send me a money order.

Their answer was to block my main email address.

Since then I have bee contacted by a couple of people that have been victims of these criminals. www.aikiwood.com and shop.aikiwood.com are just crooks nests, do yourself a favor and do not fall in their schemes, reasearch other options widely available on the internet.
