United Studios Of Self Defense I never thought to be insulted so much, Kungfu wannabes that claim themselves as "Shaolin" Las Vegas Nevada

As what the title say, I never thought to be insulted so much from the students and the chief instructor of the last United Studios I went to. I was okay with USSD at first but the location I went to closed down and I transferred to another location, which was more further away from the dojo I went to. Within a year of being in the second dojo, I was encountering problems in the second dojo.

I don't know how many to be exact, but enough to upset me, even though I couldn't do nothing about it at first. The problems I encountered were:1.)The chief instructor told me to buy new uniform and I told him I couldn't afford any, 2.)My sibling and I were treated with disrespect from not only the chief instructor, but also some of the students, 3.)The instructor tried to get me into special classes that costed too much money, and 4.)He showed no respect for the "dojo" by using profanity, whether it was during class or not.

Eventually I left the studio on May 2008, because my tuition was $500 every 3 months and how they failed to persuade me to buy expensive gear. I almost forgot to say how I paid almost half a grand .Also for them trying to command me to get into advanced classes that mostly costed $100 or more.

When I left, I told them I had to leave because of family issues and prevented them from finding out that I found a kungfu school that I pay nearly 10x less for tuition, no contracts, and they educate students what martial arts are meant for.

I'm dissapointed how USSD uses martial arts as a way of business, rather than focusing on martial arts history, philosophy, and lack of spiritual training. USSD talks about kungfu, but they don't do kungfu at all. They do kenpo, which that has nothing to do with shaolin or kungfu.

For all consumers out there, if you're looking for a place to study karate, go find a school that provides quality teaching for less and check to see if students are really disciplined. I highly DON'T recommend United Studios for karate lessons.

If I knew earlier about this site, my report would've been up long ago. I was foolish to be brainwashed by their overpriced lessons and false claims. Now that I'm out of it and learned from this, don't let these guys fool you.
