two white males mid twenteys from quebec his name was fred and walked up to us in a 2008 i think dodge red caravan with 7 davinci 2000 watt stario systems and offerd it to us. he sayed that he just got these from the shipper and he got seven instead of 4 like he was saposed to so he wanted to sell them so his boss wouldnt get the profit of about 10 000 dallars he said that each one was worth 3200 dallors and he wanted to sell one to us and keep one to him self so we bout it for 400 dallors and then we phoned our friend to tell him how much of a of a great deal we got and he said his dads boss did the same thing and then we found out it was scammers

You pulled into a gas station...
Two guys approached you and tried to sell you a stereo from the back of their vehicle...
And you thought this was normal...
You paid the guys $400...
And NOW you think that you've been scammed?

Had you guys been drinking or smoking anything special before you pulled into that gas station?

You were trying to buy stolen property, but almost got ripped off instead? Gosh, that's too bad.

So here's what happened: you thought you were getting a great deal by being given the opportunity to purchase 3 stereos that essentially "fell off the back of the truck". These guys were going to sell you the stereos for a song, so as to rip off their boss and their company.

It turns out they were lying, that the stereos weren't stolen, but that it was a scam, and that these fellows were actually selling you overpriced junk, rather than stolen property. Which means they were trying to rip you off. Do I have this correct so far?

Wow. Just wow. I have a good suggestion as to how you could avoid "falling victim" to this type of scam... when somebody offers you stolen property, or at least purportedly stolen property, WALK AWAY!
