AcaiSlimDiet.com and LeanComplex.com are both online supplement suppliers which rip you off with several levels of a con game.
First they entice you with the "free" trial offer where you allegedly pay only shipping and handling. They promise you a time period to evaluate the product. In the fine print they say that they are going to start billing your credit card for a monthly supply unless you cancel quickly.
They include their shipping time as part of that evaluation period. How convenient. Then they not only hit you up for products they haven't even shipped to you, but they share your credit card number and shipping info with other supplements as well. Attempts to contact them are to no avail. They do not respond to calls to the 866 number or emails.
I have seen enough complaints about them on this website and on the (((Redacted))) website, that I am surprised no one has filed criminal charges by now. Since they do this across state lines, it is tantamount to mail fraud.
People need to stop merely complaining on these websites, and actually take action in a legal fashion. Only then will this ripoff stop.
I did some research and here is what I found:
1. The website of AcaiSlimDiet.com was created 7/16/08.
2. Contact page on the Website says:
2807 North Glenoaks Blvd.
Burbank, CA 91504
Phone: 866-383-3941
Please email our customer service department at support@acaislimdiet.com.
3. The TOS and privacy policy refers to Kinetka Labs.
4. Googling Kinetka helped me find
www.getafreelancer.com/users/835390.html shows it is the same guy. User name Karlo911, company is Kinetka, Keywords: Online sales of dietary supplements.
5. Checking out the dba with Los Angeles gave me the info that Kinetka Labs is Karlo Nazarian, 2807 N. Glenoaks Blvd, Burbank, CA 91504.
6. Went back to Google and found another phone number and his real email address under an expired Craigslist ad as follows:

7. Kinetka Labs is not a "lab." It is just Karlo Nazarian's fictitious business name. It is illegal to call yourself a lab when you are not. Especially given that it is misleading when you are selling "health" products, i.e. supplements.
CONCLUSION: In order to stop the scam, people have to do more than just complain on these websites. Going through the traditional channel of the 866 phone number and the "customer service" email is a joke.
People need to file in small claims court if they are in Los Angeles. If you are not in Los Angeles, file a complaint with the District Attorney and/or Attorney General's office. Because Kinetka Labs is doing this nationwide, it becomes a federal crime, not just a small claims issue.
Let us all step up to the plate and stop people from taking advantage of us. There are too many scams on the Internet, and this is one we can stop. This guy thinks he can make a buck off of other people's trust.
I hope the law catches up to him.
And please stop buying these supplements. There is no shortcut to weight loss. It requires healthy diet and exercise. Not a magic pill.
