Central Coast Nutraceuticals, Inc. Internet Fraud/Credit Card Scam Phoenix Arizona

I was taken in by the trial offer of Central Coast Nutra for POM CLEAR which initially cost $4.95 for shipping/handling. Prompted by a telephone call from my bank fraud department, I researched the company and found numerous complaints regarding the fraudulent nature of this company. After reading those consumer alerts, I attempted to terminate the order immediately (within one hour of placing the order).

My initial response was to call the company which put me on hold for in excess of one hour to have the call promptly disconnected at the end of the hour. Successive telephone calls met with the same end. I followed the telephone calls with an email noting the desire to terminate the order and any further shipments which might be associated with this order as I was not interested in doing business with this company. I demanded a refund to my account for the $4.95 within ten business days.

There was never any follow-up by the comany, either through telephone or email and prior to the ten business days for the refund, a package arrived with the POM CLEAR trial inside (it remains unopened on my desk as I write this).

A few days ago an unauthorized charge in the amount of $39.95 was made to my bank in the name of POM CLEAR from Central Coast Nutraceuticals, Inc. which my bank paid causing my account to be overdrawn with successive overdrafts as a result. Although I am fortunate enough to have a bank who works with fraud and scam victims, others are not. My bank corrected my account, is investigating this charge, and reissued me a new credit card, cancelling the other so no further transactions will affect my account regarding this company.

I decided to file this alert as a tribute to all those who express similar situations as validation that this company is, in fact, one of those which whom one should NEVER do business! The reasons are as follows: (1) There is no method available to terminate orders or to terminate contracts...telephone calls are never answered and in fact, terminated as well as email responses are never addressed. (2) The company does this, fully aware, of customer desire and continues to process charges against consumer wishes. (3) Numerous claims of similar circumstances have been waged by hundreds of consumers across several fraud alert websites.

I read another complaint registered by a consumer from Iowa who noted the company address as being in California. The official website I looked up regarding this company noted the physical address as Arizona, so that should be a clue in itself! TAKE NOTICE PEOPLE! INTERNET FRAUD AND CONSUMER CREDIT SCAM PLAGUE THIS COMPANY!!!! Do not allow yourself to become another victim.
