At The Beach Tanning: They claim to sign you up for a month of unlimited tanning, then charge your card for 2 years... Denver Colorado

I went in to At The Beach (ATB) to go tanning one day, and the guy at the counter told me about a deal they had going where you could sign up for a month of unlimited tanning for just $24.95. Considering a single visit costs about $12, I thought it was a deal and went ahead and signed up. At the end of the month period, I was once again charged $24.95 by ATB. At this point, it is summer and I have no interest in tanning, so I go in and let them know that I only wanted the one month of tanning. The girl at the counter then informs me that I signed up for 2 years of unlimited tanning (which I did NOT). I calmly explain that they had made an error because the guy who sold me the package had said it was just for one month. She then apologizes for the misinformation, and goes on to tell me that the only way I can get out of the contract is if I move to an area where there is not an ATB store. Then she gives me the corporate number and I head out. On my way home, I call the corporate office to tell them that I have moved and need to cancel my membership. The customer service person on the other end of the line then informs me that the only way I can cancel the membership is if I pay them a $75 cancellation charge and provide them with 3 items denoting my new address. Obviously I can't do that since I didn't actually move and I was just lying to get out of the contract they conned me into. So now I am stuck paying for 2 years of tanning at $24.95 a month and I'm not even using it! Do not, I repeat, DO NOT sign any contracts with these people without reading every bit of the fine print. They fooled me and I'm sure if given the chance, they'll try to fool you too.
