Hollywood Tans COMPLETE AND TOTAL RIP OFF! NASTY CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SCAMS! Brodheadsville, Pennsylvania

I was forced to tan BEFORE discussing package options and was refused prices until after I tanned. I was then pressured into buying a high price package and was given a VERY hard time about downgrading to something cheaper. He actually refused to give me prices for the cheaper tanning booths.

 I was charged for the tan I received EARLIER even though he basically forced me into the booth. I also had a coupon for a free month of tanning and he informed me that I had to buy a $65 dollar lotion even though it said nothing of the sort on the coupon itself!

When confronted later in the day, this employee lied to me about his name. He said his name was Pete and I found out his name is Joey and he is actually the owner's son. He was very nasty and unprofessional to both me and my boyfriend. He went from overly nice salesmen to nasty and defensive as soon as he was confronted.

I went back to the store and asked for a refund simply for my tanning package since I hadn't used any of the tans yet. He said no refunds because you can't refund a service. I hadn't even USED any of the "services" yet!

It was quite clear he knew that what he was doing was wrong and he was very defensive. I am taking my complaint to the Better Business Bureau as well as Hollywood Tans Corporate. I am also looking into possibly talking to the Pocono Record because I have heard many stories from individuals who have had similar problems with this place and particularly this employee named Joey.

It isn't even the fact that he didn't give me the refund that made me angry...it was how rude and nasty he was to me after I confronted him about the problem. Customers should not be treated like this and this man should not be working anywhere!
