Ameri-Source Publications at it again. Raxman Publications in the rip-off business too! Champlain New York

Unfortunatley, our company fell for the Ameri-Source scam in 2000. Back in January they tried to invoice us again, saying that the original order was for a two year listing, four years after the fact!

After going several rounds with them on the phone and several faxes demanding payment for a listing we never ordered, I filed a report with the NC and NY State Attorney's office and on April 7. We received a letter from the state (NC) and Ameri-Source's "rebuttal" letter stating that they would remove our company info from their database. I got a call from Ameri-Source regarding payment for the original bogus invoice in January today! I'm sending another letter to the NC State Attorney's office but what is it going to take to get these people out of business?

We received another invoice at the end of January from a company called Raxman Publicatiions - selling - an American Business to Business Directory for $368.00, located in, you guessed it, Champlain, NY. The person they spoke to did not agree to any listing and we thought if we ignored them, they would go away ... wrong.

I got a call from them last week demanding payment (any reputable company would not wait 3 months before inquiring about an invoice status) and they stated that they had one of our officers on tape requesting the directory. I let them know that no tape recorded agreement would stand up in a court of law because it could be edited and that if they didn't cease and desist from contacting us, I would report them to the FTC as well as the NC and NY State Attorney's office just as I had done with Ameri-Source. The "gentleman" hung up on me.

I found these reports very helpful in proving our case to the NC State Attorney's office and I hope that Raxman Publications gets the same treatment as Ameri-Source.
