American Family Publishers ripoff Seattle Washington

A man named William Grant claiming to be the seioner Vice President of American Family Publishers called me on June 4, 2004 and announced that I had won $500,000 from his company sponsered by Ed McMan and Dick Clark.

He told me that his flight was coming in on Tuesday, June 8th...with him and 16 co-workers...lawyers, accountants, camra crew etc. They would show up at my house with 4 limos that would excort me to my bank to deposit the money and then they where to take me and 10 guests to lunch on them.

After all of this he explained that in the state of Pennsylvania it was required that I had to set up a tax escrow account before I could receive my check. I couldn't afford the 1st three amounts that he needed to set up the account, so he lowered it to $456.00. (the money I had for this months house payment)

My husband and I discussed it, and everything sounded right. We made the wire transfer to a Stacey Brooks 1015 Second Ave., Seattle, WA 98104. Who is supposed to be a Assis. US Attorney.

Mr. Grant called us back after the transaction was made to make sure it was made...then he set up a time for him to call me back to discuss things with the lawers and some other people.

I never heard from him again.
