I also was contacted by telephone and was told I was able to get a credit card. The first day I told them I was not interested.

They called me back the following day and sold me on getting this credit card for only 299.00. I asked them at least 5 times if this was indeed a credit card.

They assured me that it was a credit card. They said I would have the card 15 to 30 days after I paid the 299.00. I paid the 299.00 and all I got was a catalouge to try to order credit cards.

I ended up going to my bank and filing a complaint through their fraud dept. I ended up getting my money back thanks to my bank.

I also found out that this is an illegal practice through the FCC.
