Luebke Baker & Associates - Consolidated Media Services Magazine Debt Collection Scam ripoff Peoria Illinois

I received a letter from these people today claiming to offer a settlement offer of $523.44 on an overdue account balance of $523.44 for magazines I ordered in 2001.

While it's quite interesting that the settlement offer is the same as the balance, the first clue in that this is a scam was my incorrect address. Not to mention the fact, I didn't even live at this adress in 2001.

I called them to see what they'd say and got the normal "You're refusing to pay" response to my questions on the legitimacy of this debt. After some searching on the web, I found numerous reports about this company and the magazine company being complete frauds and even having federal judgements against them to halt deceptive practices.

Needless to say, they won't get a dime or any information out of me. They will only be hearing from a lawyer or a federal investigator in response to this complete fallacy.

I find it sickening they are still allowed to do business after such overly proven fradulent actions over a term of more than 10 years at this point.
