I had gotten a call from one of the reprisentatives at the Southern Magazine Promotions company, saying that i was given a 3-day 2-night vacation. They pushed me through this while i was sitting in the quiet room at my college, so i quickly agreed with them on many things before thinking.
About a week later, i recieved a notice in the mail confirming my order for magazines that will overall cost me $998.40. Now when i try to contact them to cancel this order, i cannot get a hold of them. The number was deleted out of my cell phone, because i am a busy person, and recieve calls alot.
After looking up their information on the internet for other ways to contact them, i stumble apon many other complaints about this company, and how they could not cancel either.
I was wondering if i could get help in cancelling this order before I end up paying $998.40, of which i do not have.
I am very worried about what is going to happen, because i dont have this much money, and i have read some of the stories of this company. Thank you very much for your help.

In your header, you state you were "forced" into buying......you weren't forced, you were suckered! You state in the report, "they pushed me through this" plus "I quickly agreed with them on many things before thinking"........so wheres the rip off?? You did this to yourself!

The rip-off part of it is that they will not allow me to cancel the subscription even though they had clearly said on the phone that i could at any time.
I admit i was suckered into this all....

Maybe you are very busy. Maybe you are simply disorganised? Maybe you should use a Franklin Covey Dayplanner? [$40 at Sam's.]
Maybe you should simply not respond to solicitations on the telephone? I don't. I use an answering machine, and telemarketers ALMOST NEVER leave a message. If they do leave a message I usually do not respond. I like to see "offers" in writing.
