This company gave us a telephone call selling us a way to startup our own business on the internet. The sent us the following supplies (1) An acer lap top which is leased to us through A-1 leasing Corporation out of Michigan for 36 months (2) A Manual called the Journey with 14 audio digital compact discs (3) An oral agreement for continued support during the process of setting up our new business.

The day we signed the lease contract and received the equipment was the last communication we have had with this company. We have tried calling and faxing them at the numbers they provided us on their business card to no avail. We have tried to go on the website but it has since been closed down for contact purposes.

Does anyone have advise or experience on how to get out of this deal with out ruining your credit. They are charging our bank account for this leased computer at the amount of $183.46 for 36 months for a total of $6,604.56. The lap top is not worth over $400.00 but the funny part about the whole thing is that after 36 months you have to return the lap top or buy it at the fair market price at that time.
