They lied from the beginning. Admitting we would all have benefits after 6mo, and they didn't even have them to offer.
The first day of training we were only on the phones for 4 hours. Being that I had preivous experience I had felt I would suceed in this position. We were told it wasn't going to be perfect, it wasn't. No one made any sales, people got hung up on and bitched at. I was the only person who turned a potential situation around and had a customer tell me to have a good day.
we were calling customers from a list who were called previously that day and even that week. they had already renewed their services or would not speak to us because we were not "verizon" we were "on behalf of verizon"
our list was bad, worse then they thought, and immediatley the plans had changed for us and we were notified close to last minute. we were told we were now going to be upselling, and going to go through training again in about 2 weeks.
my test scores were good, my tone voice, and knoweledge came with me.
my own manager had pulled me aside out of my station to tell me how horrible my call was even though i had used my compliance rules. was it because i was too good?
i know i am a good telesales person. i have worked this job before except with not so bad lists. and when i got hired from this place i found out froma previous employer that they had actually closed down 2 months prior to hiring a group of 10.
I was fired at the end of the day for "making too many mistakes"
everyone made mistakes.
i don't want to work for a company that isn't even accredited by the BBB.
