Enhanced Services Billing (ESBI) ESBI Company calls to update your free Internet Business listing and then charges show up on Verizon phone bill. Internet

Our business has been harrassed by this company. We have reeceived as many as 3 calls in one day, everyday of the work week.  They call stating they need to update our business information for our internet Verizon listing.  (We are a customer of Verizon & Verizon Yellow Pages.)  They then ask you to answer yes or no to the questions, name of business, phone number, address ect. They then ask for you to hold for a manager to record your answers.  We usually hang up on them at this point but I guess a moment of weakness and with the promise they wont call back again my associate answered the questions being recorded. 

This information was then used to bill my Verizon Phone bill with a charge of $39.95 plus tax.  I called the company immeditally after seeing the charge on my phone bill.  The woman on the phone was very nice and let me listen to the recording.  You can clearly hear the "Yes" answers.  I believe this company adds in the "yes" answers to the recording which goes on to explain what you are buying and what the charges are.  I told the woman on the phone I will not pay for this "unauthorized" charge and to cancel this account and take us off their call list.  She agreed and said it would take up to 2 billing cycles to see the credit.  She gave me her name and and Confirmation number.  I will call Verizon to alert them to this SCAM and notify them I will not be paying the charges. If this company calls us again I will report them to the authorities.
