MagicJack no Canadian area codes Internet

There are NO Canadian area codes available! The ad on TV did not mention this. They said it could replace my home phone. VERY MISLEADING! They gave me the choice of an area code from any state I want. This means that my friends and family that want to call me, have to pay a long distance fee.

If I can't receive calls, then it is only good for outgoing long distance calling. I can't say anything good or bad about that because I don't make long distance calls. There may be more problems with this item. I won't know until Canadian area codes are available and I can use it on a daily basis.

I have tried tons of times to speak to a rep and was successful in reaching a Canadian rep but there was nothing he could do. He directed me to Dave on the US side but Dave's mailbox is always full and he never answers so I do not have a way to deal with this for a credit or to put it aside until a usable option is given. I shouldn't have to pay right now as it is useless to me. But if I can't get in touch with a rep, there is nothing I can do about it. I will contact my credit card company and see if there is a way they can get my money back. If that works, I will be back to add to this report.

If any reps from magicJack read this, and can make this better, I am certainly willing to remove my negative report and replace it with a positive one.
