Meteor in the Irish Republic is offering consumers a HSDPA broadband dongle for connection to their network to provide midband internet access. In respect of the pay as you go service, one purchases vouchers from retail outlets and uses that to top up an account assigned to the modem. Well nothing unusual about that so far.They offer a 30 day pass with 7.50 Gigabytes and here is where it gets interesting, purchase the 30 day pass and use up the 7.50 Gigabytes before the 30 day pass becomes time expired and they apparently have so organized their system that the consumer has to purchase day passes for each day the consumer wishes to avail of the service until the 30 day pass becomes time expired. This to me has all the appearance of a blatant and deliberate ripoff.
