I had called Verizon regarding a change needed to my service. During the call, the knowledgeable rep asked me if I knew about a charge from ESBI (Enhanced Services Billing, Inc.) for $12.95 - this was clearly not the first time she had mentioned this to a customer. Never heard of them. This, it turns out, was a recurring charge every month.
I called them, 888-296-3724, and was told that they cannot stop billing me. I must contact thier client, My Info Guard, 800-406-1749, to stop the billing.
Please take a look at www.myinfoguard.com! It's a blank login page - no contact info, no nothing! Plan on spending 20-40 minutes on hold prior to speaking with someone, I would anticipate, does nothing but accept cancellations.
These guys are fake, following the limits of the law for service providers. How they initially acquired my unlisted, unpublished phone number, should come under question.
