I was at Hartfield International Airport in Atlanta, Georgia. I was about to board my flight, but the flight was randomly cancelled. I did not have my cell phone to use so I went to find a payphone. I found one, but I didn't have enough change to use it. I walk to the other side of the airport and found the ones that have the slot for the credit/debit cards.

I had to make two phone calls to my mother and to book another flight to get to the airport in Washington DC. The payphone gave instructions that lead to the operator that provides the rates for the phone call with the NCIC operator. The rate was 1.15 per minute. It was a little expensive for a phone call, but I was not complaining. One phone call was four minutes, which should have cost $4.60. The other phonee call was 10 minutes, which should have cost $11.50.

A couple of days later, I check my checking account online to make sure everything is up to date and balanced. I noticed the the two charges from NCIC, but they were not right. One was $12.17 and one was $20.17. I call the company, and the rude receptionist [yes rude] told me that there is a $10.75 connection fee in addition to the actual rate. I told the rude chick, "The company just can't charge additional fees without informing people." It should have been written down somewhere or the or it could have popped on my rates when I made the phone call. This b**** tried to convince me that I was told there was a connection fee when using a credit card. I'm sitting there trying to tell her that I was not informed about the fee, it was not written anywhere, and I will be taking this to a legal level if my needs were not met. Then her tone changes. She instantly get polites, and offers to credit my account the amount they charged me. The lesson her...DO NOT USE NCIC...BORROW CHANGE FROM SOMEONE. I may actually still file a legal report, because they are a scam.
