STi Prepaid Cards ripoff No Refund 4 U!! Flushing New York

I am a regular costumer of Sti because comapring to other cards which give 15-20 minutes for international calls, Sti gives about 1 hours although they might say 1 hour and 40 minutes. So I thought that 1 hour is good too comparing to other cards. However, I am not very pleased with their customer service.

Today I called my wife overseas and the phone was suddenly disconnected. I called again and found out that $1 has been deducted from my $5 card. So I called again and $1 was deducted from the same card again. So I called the customer service and had to wait for the next available rep. That took about 20 minutes as usual. I waited patiently and once I talked to someone, she said that she cannot give me refund because if the call is over 1 minute, my balance cannot be refunded.

Now one would wonder that how are we suppose to know that our call is going to disconnect after 1 minute or the person we are calling will not pick up. Never the less, I did not get my refund. The person I was talking to said that it is their policy that once the first minute is over, they do not give refund. Well...I could not do anything but just wonder that how many people get ripped off by this company every day. I just wish that companies like these would consider other people's money and time before they attempt to sell thei product.

My advice to U: Expose STi and their "1-minute Policy" to as many people as you can so that every one knows the truth. They are nothing but fraud. It might look like that a person has only lost $1 or $2 but when multiplied by their millions of customers, that adds up to a huge amount.
