In February 2007 I purchased a broadband card from AT&T wirless.  I just cancelled it with 5 months left in a two year contract.

I now understand in May 2008 AT&T decided to be nice to there customers and prorate there cancellation fees.

I am not included in that because they made the decision AFTER my contract was in full swing.  Doesn't make sense to me!!!

It Makes Perfect Sense

It's quite simple really. The new declining Early Termination Fee was put into effect May 28, 2008 for N-E-W customers. It doesn't backdate to the millions of pre-existing customers.
