Me: I have not been satisified with MJ service and have disconncted I want my PHONE NUMBER BACK AND DONT WANT TO PAY ANOTHER 30.00 FOR IT
 
Marionne: Do you mean you port your phone number to magicJack and you want to port it back to its carrier?

Me: Yes

Marionne: Please confirm if (000) 000-0000 is your magicJack phone number.

Me: Yes

Marionne: Thank you for the confirmation.

Marionne: Please wait while I check that for you

Marionne: Thank you for waiting.

Marionne: As what I have checked here, your phone number has been successfully ported to magicJack last 01/24/2012. The only way for you to port out the phone number back to its carrier is that an eligible requests should be initiated by your new service provider, who will coordinate the transfer.

Me: It already has been initiated by my new provider. I got an email telling me in order to port it back I would have to pay. I will not pay for such bad bad bad service as magic jack.

Me: I will get a new phone number first

Marionne: Please be informed that porting out your phone number will costs $30 and your phone number will not be ported back to your carrier without paying it, (My name).

Me: Really? I think not

Me: Magic Jack service is terrible I had it for one day and the next day it wouldn't work. That day I contacted tech chat and asked it be disconnected. This is the worst service I believe I have ever seen. I have told all my friends not to get it and will continue to tell them DON’T GET MAGICJACK.
Marionne: I apologize for the inconvenience that you have encountered. However, if you wish to cancel the porting request that you've made, you should have contacted the carrier to refuse the porting request that we sent them so that the porting process will not be completed. However, now that it was already completed, there's no other way for the phone number to be ported back to its original carrier without paying for the $30 for the porting process.
Me: Is that all you have to say to me? I WILL contact an Consmer affairs attorney this is not the kind of stuff that a company likes for people to hear. I am not going to cancel the porting request I am asking Magic Jack to cancel. I want my phone number 000-000-0000 ported to my service carrier who has already initiated a request.

me: I am not going to pay for another thing related to magic jack

Marionne: As I have said, the only way for you to port your number back to your carrier is to pay for the porting fee that costs $230.

Marionne: I mean, $30.

Me: I want to talk to your supervisor

Marionne: I am one of the supervisors here.

Me: Too BAD
 
Marionne: I understand your side, however, as much as I would love to help you but that is really not possible.

Me: Who can help me?

Marionne: It is really not possible for your phone number to be ported back to your previous carrier without paying for the porting fee of $30.

me: Fine I will contact an attorney.
