The company sold us tickets to the "Spirit of Harbour Town Sunset Dinner Cruise" without disclosing the extra $10.00 port fee for each ticket and the $5.00 parking fee.

In the evening when we entered the area, we had to pay the parking fee, and at the ticketing area we were told that we had to pay the $10.00 port fees for each ticket.

The next day, we stopped by the office and disputed the fees. They did not honor the fees except for giving us a restaurant certificate to cover the $5.00 parking fee.

In a nutshell, the company must disclose all the hidden fees very clearly to the customers.

HHGS (Hilton Head Guest Services) sells discounted tickets for various attractions around Hilton Head, one is the Spirit of Harbour Town.  On each ticket, flyer, brochure, and website, the port fees and/or additional fees are printed. Although we make every effort to clearly communicate these terms both verbally and in writing, on occasion, there will be a guest who raises concern. Despite our best attempts, we fully accept responsibility and promise to help make the Hilton Head visit a great one. In summary, in comes downs to clear communication - not deception. Gate pass receipts are valid for a $5.00 refund upon boarding, and guests do pay a small port fee. These are listed beside the guests name printed on the vouchers. Furthermore, the rate info is listed next to the directions and description so the guest will not overlook them. HHGS hosts over 25,000 guests each year and would like to make sure that each guest is treated with professional customer service and honesty.  If there is every a question, please call HHGS at 800-621-1518 and ask  for the Welcome Center Manager. They will be happy to provide compensation on matters like this and clarify any questions you may have.
