BUYER BEWARE, the telephone solicitation scam king is back at it again. Ken Monteiro, Kenny Monteiro and or Kenneth Monteiro is back trying to lure people into believing if they try a new game in which we believe he stole from a competitor is trying to convince consumers that in a tournament type setting they have a chance of winning $250,000. Ken Monteiro after scamming people for millions of dollars over the past 30 years is looking for his next victim and hopefully you are reading this article in time before that person is you, we believe the game is not good and that the prize money may not be real, he is claiming to have an insurance company backing the tournament if someone wins, if this is true and has any merit at all you can believe that insurance companies do not like to pay and if they are given any reason at all not to pay THEY DON'T, so winning anything may be difficult. This product is under funded and a loser and most likely not be there long term. Mattel has a tough enough time launching products that are well capitalized and turning them into house hold games for the entire family to enjoy and it is my belief that the product is not only under capitalized, but it is poorly manufactured with a liability being in our opinion a pure ripoff of a popular board game that has been around for many years with quality being compromised.
Ken Monteiro has focused on scamming consumers via the telephone for many years masquerading as law enforcement, firemen and other municipal agency officials and his biggest claim to fame is how he personally took money from over 100,000 consumers in which resulted in millions of dollars in revenue. He also claims that he is the best telephone solicitor that there ever was or will ever be and claims he is going teach people the art of selling over the telephone via high pressure tactics, please keep an eye out.
Roomer has it that his last boiler room "badge deal operation" has shut down in Woburn MA and consolidated to Newton, MA because of the economy the company claims, but a former employee with the company stated Ken had ran it into the ground and he could be potentially facing a prison sentence as a result.
Result: Ken has personally hurt thousands of consumers and continues to find new ways of stealing peoples money (BOARD GAMES). At some point in time the public will his actions should catch up to him and as more consumers take a stand against Ken and the companies he is affiliated with could result in a prison sentence that will not allow him to continue misrepresenting consumers with badge deals or poor quality underfunded board games and predatorial type tactics.
Anytime you receive a call from anyone, please make sure the person or company calling you has permission from you that allows that person or company to solicit you. If you ask them how they got your phone number and they can not tell you and provide you with a copy of the permission slip giving them the right to call you, that person or company can be fined up to $1,500 per violation and can result in you receiving a judgment against those individuals of up to $10,000. Please make sure you get as much information as possible and contact you local Attorney General for advice and they will guide you to getting the money you could be entitled to for receiving such calls. MAKE SURE YOU DOCUMENT EVERYTHING.
I RECOMMEND THAT YOU RUN AWAY AS FAR AS POSSIBLE FROM THIS PREDITOR AND THIS PRODUCT AND PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW HIM TO PRESSURE YOU INTO IT.
