Temecula Motorsports Ripoff, Trailer, Fraud Murrieta California

Temecula Motor Sports sold us a Trailer a year ago (Aug 08) and when we went to the DMV to get it registered in our name this last week the DMV told us that the trailer wasn't in our name, in TMS name or in the original finance company's name. When we contacted the Sales Manager he told us that they didn't have any idea what was happening but he would get back to us. A week and 7 phone calls later we finally got out of him that the DMV was being "difficult" and it would be several more weeks before they would have any answers. When we inquired why a year had gone by and they didn't have this put in our name they had no answers and instead told us that it was ok to use the trailer without a registration because we had the bill of sale. This is illegal in Ca to drive without a registration no matter what and we thought it was irresponsible for them to be giving out incorrect information that could lead to legal consequences. Then we asked about returning the trailer and they said that we only paid $200 for it. When we told the sales manager Mike that we paid $1500 for the trailer he said that wasn't what he had in the system.. We were afraid that they were going to try and pull this so at the time of sale we had the finance person hand write on our bill of sale the trailer was $1500 which we still have in our possession. We are currently looking into filing a lawsuit and have an appointment with the fraud department of the Sheriffs department to speak about this.
