My husband and myself bought into Travelbridge because they told us we would be issued a Travel Agent card that would allow us great discounts equal to that of travel agent discounts. With the package we would receive condo week coupons to use for distination of travel to places anywhere in the world. The coupons would entitle us to beautiful resorts at a very reasonable cost which we thought was a good deal.
In fact, it was described as similar to that of "time share" ownership without the ownership fees. We had just retired and believed this was an opportunity for affordable travel.
This is what happened when we tried to use our ID card at hotels, car rentals, etc. Many places would not accept it--in fact we found that our AARP card gave us a better discount. We made numerous attempts to schedule condo weeks and Travelbridge never could arrange anything even close to our requests. In fact, since we bought the package, 1998, we have never been able to use one condo week coupon!
Our card is worthless, and we have been paying the annual dues with zero benefit. We have tried to contact Travelbridge and it appears they have disappeared from the earth. They seem to be hiding behind a company called AZ Travel Center. There is no phone or address that goes anywhere except the "AZ Travel Center."
We are insulted that they still have the nerve to send us a notification that our dues need to be paid in order to stay an active member--OF WHAT! In doing some research, we understand that a class action was filed against Travelbridge in Texas. We want to be included in any future action that can be brought against Travelbridge--we want our money returned for services we did not receive. TRAVELBRIDGE IS DEFINITELY A RIP0FF COMPANY!
