Okay I'm confused..

AUTHOR: Robert - Irvine (U.S.A.)

If you were not getting paid the correct hours, they were a stickler on your miles, unprofessional, and they had people looking for them.  Why in the world would you have stayed long enough to get "fired for no reason".  Secondly why would you care and not just be glad to be out of there?

#2 Employee

Two sides to every story...

AUTHOR: Lisa Silverman - Los Angeles (United States of America)

The statements filed by this former employee and untrue.  The truth is this employee was terminated because this former employee only being on the job a few days was searching for other employment on several job web sites including Craig's List and this former employee was looking under the "adult" section for jobs on Craig's List.  This former employee also violated the company's computer use policy by having 12 photos of his/herself on the computer and sending them out with a resume.  This work was also done while on the clock, violating another policy of doing personal work on company time.

When this former employee was terminated, this person submitted miles for errands.  This person submitted they wanted to be paid for 50 miles from the office to Hollywood & Vine.  A check on Google and Map Quest showed this was 12.6 miles round trip.  The employee argued that they were right. We asked for a log of starting and ending miles. This person did not keep a log, yet they claimed even after we gave them proof of the actual miles, and paid them for the actual miles they still believed they were right, and now after reading this email, it is clear they still believe they were right.

It's amazing, you give someone factual proof and it still doesn't click in their brain.  The company paid this former employee every mile he/she drove and backed it up with the actual miles shown on Google Maps.  The company did not pay their guesstimate of miles.

In terms of not paying employees, etc... those claims are false and not true.  This company employees a lot of people and families that in this economy would be collecting an unemployment check. This company is good to their employees. I witnessed the owner sending 4 employees an their families to Disneyland at a cost of $1300.00 to the company as a reward.  Another location had an excellent mystery shopper report and all 10 employees received a $250.00 bonus.

To recap, this former employee was on their computer looking for jobs on company time. They had downloaded 12 photos of themselves and their resumes and while being paid by this company, were looking for additional work.  This former employee kept no records, yet argued that they should be paid for 50 miles from Robertson/Olympic to Vine/Hollywood Blvd round trip when it is actually 12.6 miles.

This person worked for the company on 3 days!

AUTHOR: Lisa Silverman - Los Angeles (United States of America)

I should also add this person started on a Tuesday and the company had to terminate this person on Friday because they violated so many company policies within the first 2 days of employment.

If you are an honest person with integrity, would you right after starting a job spend time at your new job on a company computer searching ads for the entertainment industry, have 12 photos of yourself on your computer computer and be sending them out within your training period at your new job?

Does that sound like someone who is honest?

When you turn in your miles and request a company pay you 50 miles for a route that on Google Maps is actually 12.6 miles, and you have no log with starting and ending miles, what company would simply pay the employee 50 miles notwithstanding it was factually 12.6?

On the former employee's 2nd day this person scheduled a lunch with a friend and sent a text to the company President that he/she was taking lunch at 1 pm and would need to leave early from a managers meeting.

This company has 1/3 of its managers with them more than 3 years.  There are at least 12 employees with 3-4 years of tenure.  A company that is not good to their employees doesn't keep great people that long.

This is a very good company and the executives are good to their employees.  This entry was made by a bad hire, someone with little professional ethics who only worked 3 days... yet seems to have all this inside information?

In closing, in the title the person lists Regent Parking and Valet Girls.  This former employee was so knew they didn't realize Regent simply shares an office with valet Girls - they are 2 totally separate companies!
