Goldrush Getaways Ripoff Travel Scam Ontario California

My Husband and I attended a Home and Garden show at the San Bernardino Fair grounds in Victorville, Ca. and got invited to a Travel Information seminar for Goldrush Getaways.

It sounded interesting and to make a long story short we signed up for this program and paid $2,390.00 plus a yearly fee of $149.00.

My Husbands health's health is very bad and we can't afford and have no intention of useing this service and a divorce is going to be coming and neither of us want or will use this so-called travel information.

I called the general manager and explained the problem and asked to be released from the fees and the contract and was told no, but in case of death or divorce he might be able to wave the fee for removing one of our names from the contract. He did say that yearly fees can be waved on the years we do not use the service if we send a request in writing to them each year.

I hope no one else falls victim to what sounds too good to be true and I hope I can help others from making this mistake.

My Husband blames me for this debt and has threathend divorce due.

He is waiting for a heart transplant and and we have other things to worry about then this.
