I have purchased tickets tickets through priceline multiple times and usaully found them to be the best offer for airline tickets. However, the airlines do not offer any alternatives or changes if unforseen circumstances make you miss your flight.

If your flight is missed you are obligated to buy brand new tickets and priceline does not offer one-way tickets. This leaves you with not only one, but now 2 tickets that cannot be used.

I missed my flight in Dallas and priceline did not want to help in any way. In fact, they were the rudest customer department I have ever delt with.

I decided that it would be cheaper to get a round trip ticket since it was $200.00 the first time on priceline. However, the best price they could offer was $377.00 which I realize is up to the airline.

When I decided to change the dates of departure (to see if the tickets would be cheaper) they came back with an alternative airline that offered $577.00 for the tickets. At the bottom I hit, what I thought was an advance search, but in reality was a button to purchase the tickets for $577.00. I couldn't believe that I bought these tickets and proceeded 2 seconds later to contact priceline and inform them of my error.

Once contacted they said we are a for profit company and will not and are not obligated to help you in any way what so ever. I could not beleive that there is no fail safe system or even a following screen asking " Are you sure you want to purchase these tickets".

Instead I now have two tickets coating in the range of $600 that can no longer be used. Plus, why would I have purchased tickets for $577.00 when 2 seconds earlier I could have bought them for $377.00 from the same company.
