If anyone is in the mood to travel and makes there way toward San Fransico they might have an interest in going on the Blue & Gold Fleet which would in turn place you on the island of Alcatraz. The Company Round America does NOT have any fleets of ships or fairies which could take you to the island of Alcatraz. The fee for an adult to go on the day tour of Alcatraz with audio is about $16. And that is how much it would cost if you were to go through the company called Blue & Gold Fleet.

However, if you are not careful when you are searching for information about ticket purchases for this tour you will be directed to the website or other contact information of Round America, LLC. At this web site you can purchase your tickets for the $16 each and they will charge you an additional $10 per ticket. And what do you get for this $10 one might ask. Well, in short...nothing really. You can buy them direct from Blue & Gold Fleet but Round America will buy them for you. That's what the $10 is for.

There are other companies that do this and I assume its legal. But I only have experience with Round America and they will not tell you about Blue & Gold Fleet. They call the $10 fee a booking fee. And it's all probably legal. Just be careful and beware that they are taking advantage of there customers. There is no reason for this "service" of thiers. it would be no different if I put a booth in front of a movie theatre box office and started charging $20 a ticket.

When a customer makes a purchase I turn around and buy there ticket for the actual $10 or so. $10 profit for doing nothing. The reason its a rip-off is because the make no indication that they are just going to buy the tickets from Blue & Gold Fleet.

Ticket Master is another company that charges for ticket purchases but they will tell where the event is to be held and usually the customer has the choice of purchasing the tickets direct from the event holder but they have to be purchased at the place of the event in most situations. if Blue & Gold Fleet didnt sell the tickets by phone then at least you could call Round Americas fee reasonable. But that isnt true. If you want to go to Alcatraz then go through Blue & Gold Fleet.

False, Malicious Report

This report is a hoax. I demand that the author provide some proof that he is a customer and that any transaction really happened. The proof would be simple -- the 6-digit customer Reservation ID number. With that number, we can identify the person and any and all transactions under that name.

I have searched our system for every customer named Oakland or Montana (first names or last names), and there are very few and no such customers in 2005 for anything related to Alcatraz. Nor are there any 2005 customers from anyone named Oakland or Montana in the UK.

According to a Yahoo search and Wikipedia, there is no town in Montana named Oakland. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_places_in_Montana#O

Round America is a booking service for tours and activities and tickets. We have never done any false advertising, and no honest person could ever claim that we do.

I am quite confident that this is a competitor who is slandering and libeling my company and others. I believe it should be illegal for RipOffReport to continue to allow people to publish false, malicious, damaging anonymous claims designed to damage companies such as ours. I believe what this "reporter" has done is clearly slander and libel and will prove to be a violation of fair business practice laws as well as tortious interference laws. I will be filing a John Doe Lawsuit against this "reporter" so we can subpoena RipOffReport to provide the identity of this dishonest person so the John Doe can then be replaced with the name of the guilty party.

This same person may have been the one to purchase viruses to infect computers worldwide so that customers would be unable to purchase because the virus popped up to block the order form and send a message to call a toll-free number to buy for less.

This same person may be one who runs advertising that I believe is false.

This same person may be one who committed click fraud against competitors -- running up advertising costs by clicking on online ads.

I look forward to learning the identity of this person, because this report is FALSE. I will spend whatever it takes to root out, identity, and pursue legally anyone who files bogus reports with RipOffReport and elsewhere.

I am also interested in others who have been falsely slandered in RipOffReport. I believe RipOffReport should be stopped from facilitating such activity.
