My wife & I purchased a Royal Holiday Club package in December 2005. Six months later, we have been unable to get them to answer questions about our benefits. We have a voucher for reimbursement for airfare. When calling the only phone number on the voucher (the same # as their main customer service number) we were told we don't know anything about vouchers. There is no other number to call. When asked where to call, they said try Cozumel, Mexico and gave us 2 phone #s. The 1st phone # no one answers and the 2nd was to a restaurant in Cozumel.

We have an Annuity Certificate thru Granthix Corp., a company owned by Royal Holiday. They were suppose to send us some documentation which they have not. We have called & left over 10 phone messages and 5 emails to them to no avail.

We made our first & only reservation through them in March for later in the year and were asked to pay the "all-inclusive" fee upfront. A little unusual but we went ahead and did it. We were just billed this week (May) for $2000 for an all-inclusive fee. We called them and told them we had already paid the fee and even had the charge card statement. We were told that our "representative" had been fired on March 20th so they had no record of it.

The fourth person we talked to finally stated that they saw where we had already paid in March but could not "waive" the bill without talking to a supervisor and would try to call us back next week. We are very frustrated, as we are still waiting on call backs on our airline reimbursement, Annuity Certificate, and two other concerns we had addressed to them that they were "researching"

During our last phone call (May 23), after being transfered to the 3rd person, we asked if someone could call us back so we could see about cancelling the contract since they do not seem to be able to honor their end and the dollar amount of the money they owe us added to what they say we owe them was about $3500. I was told that I sounded like I was "threatening" them and they were going to hang up and I could just call back and speak to the "regular" customer service people.

we have now spoken to representatives in Cozumel about our problems. The 2nd representative, Julissa, said"...I know you have a signed document but we are no longer honoring it because our costs have gone up...". I was so stunned that I did not know how to respond to her statement. They acknowledge what the contract says our benefits are but are not going to honor it because it's not such a good deal for them???!!!! How do you have a discussion with someone who does not care what the contract obligates them to supply?

They are really something !!

Last night RCI (Royal Holidays parent company)called trying to sell me something. I blew a gasket these crooks have already stolen $6400.00 from me and the have the gaul to call me.This lady or female crook that she had to be kidding you have already stolen over 6400. I hung up on her. Folks something has to be done to these people .

My husband and I have also experienced the bad service and scams of these vacation clubs. I have filed a report under Horizon Travel/TCI if anyone wants to see the full story.

If you are not able to physically go to the place where you signed the contract, I would suggest you contact an attorney, as well as contacting the Attorney General and getting the word out in places like this one! If you ARE able to go to their place of business, find out the legalities of handing out Better Business Bureau reports to people going into their establishment. They DON'T want the bad publicity! And, they sure don't want attention drawn to prospective clients (victims) that they are less than honest!

At first, we decided we would NEVER attend another SCAM like this again, but after much thought, we have decided we will go to EVERY SINGLE one we can possibly attend! And, we will go with reports in hand and be prepared next time. We will also ask the speaker direct questions about the companies background and track record. When he lies (and he WILL), we will proceed to pass out the evidence. There's not one thing they can do about it either! Just make sure you are passing out legitimate reports and complaints.

We have received every penny back from Horizon due to my husband passing out this information in front of their building. They issued the credit right on the spot (after saying a week before there was no way they could do that). We were told any refunds had to come from the corporate headquarters and we knew it would be a lengthy process, IF it every happened at all!

We wish you the best! My advice is that we should all attend every seminar as often as possible and get the word out to unsuspecting folks.

These people need to be run out of town!
