My sister and I went on vacation in January to Cancun, Mexico. We were approached at our resort hotel by Royal Holiday Club representatives who were stationed in the main lobby. They said it would be a one hour lunch and vacation club presentation and we would receive an activity vouchure for attending. We took them up on their offer on a day the weather was very bad so we couldn't go to the pool or beach. They took us down the strip to a Whydam Resort Hotel and a sales presentation.

The meeting took over 5 hours not 1 hour. They kept telling us we had to accept now or the couldn't promise us the specials they were offering. We asked to leave and think it over and they told us it would take a few minutes to arrange transportation (almost 3 more hours).

We were promised 40% discounts on air fares, 50% discounts and cabin upgrades on curises, and VIP service when booking vacations, thousands of five star hotels and resorts world wide, etc.

We new we were duped when we tried to book our first vacation with them it was a nightmare. Everything they promised us were lies.

The vacation points were purchased will take us till we are 100 years old to use. We were told we could use them as we liked and we planned to have them used in less than 10 years but according to their rules it will take us 40 years.

They are crooks stay away from Royal Holiday Club.

  We too had a very similiar experience with this company while on vacation in Cancun Mexico. We were "naive" tourists who avoided timeshare meetings at all costs. But these sales people were very good. After 6 hours of high-pressure sales we also succumbed to signing a contract,but we were verbally assured that we had lots of time to cancel if we changed our minds. After all was said and done , we did try to cancel but with no luck. At home I searched the internet to find a lawfirm called Gonzalez Gonzalez Lawfirm .com. I was apprehensive but felt I had no choice. They  were easy to deal with and kept us constantly informed .In addition, they were succesful in having our contract cancelled and our deposit refunded.
