WLI reservations has scammed us unknowingly - twice! The first time they charged us $4.00 a month on our credit card. At first I thought it was something my husband signed up for, but when I asked him about it he had no idea what it was.

When I called the company they told me he had signed up under his email address on such and such a date. When I asked him about signing up, he again had no recollection (and no, this wasn't just a guy thing!).

I asked for a refund, which they said they could only honor for the last month. They also said they would cancel the account. When I pressed the gal for a full refund, she said they could not honor that.

When I pressed further and asked to speak to her supervisor she went ahead and credited my credit card. We never did figure out through what website they got my hubby's info.

Now here we are a year later. Once again, 3 months in a row this reservation charge now on our debit card. I know my husband often makes travel arrangements online, so at first (not remembering the name of the company from the last go around) I didn't question the charge.

But when I asked him about it, once again he had no idea why the charge or what it was for. We looked WLI Reservations up online and found multiple sites like this with reports of being scammed by this company.

I called WLI reservations and was told my husband signed up under his email address at HOTELS.COM on 12/23/03, with the first charge put through on 1/5/04. Bastards.

Hubby did use hotels.com to make a reservation, but never once (knowingly) signed up for their service, gave them our debit card #, or authorized them to withdraw funds.

The other interesting this is each time this transaction went through as a point of sale transaction as opposed to an automatic withdrawal . . . fishy.

Needless to say, Monday morning I will be calling our bank to make sure they do not authorize any charges from this company on our credit card, debit card, or any other means they might try.

BEWARE!! Hotels.com is just as much to blame for this scam by allowing this company to be associated with them!!
