DMJ Transportation Marie Avery or Douglas Avery Unpaid Invoices and Administrative Services Fairburn, Georgia

In 2005, I leased two trucks to DMJ Transportation.  Although the owner is Marie Avery, the daily operations are controlled by Douglas Avery. For the first month, the loads were paid for the percentage agreed.  Shortly after that, Douglas Avery came to the office later and later, and at sporadic times.  He insisted that he needed help with paperwork, so I agreed to process it.

That was when I found out that his bank account was overdrawn, and one former employee came in demanding back payment of truck loads.  This gentleman stayed for four hours waiting for Douglas Avery to return, but the police was called by Douglas Avery and he was escorted off the property.  At this writing, it is not believed that he was ever paid.

I had a similar fate. Not only were my last two loads unpaid, the following also transpired under the authority of Douglas Avery and DMJ: 1) Federal Express mailings paid by me were not reimbursed ($54.00), 2) $1,000.00 of unpaid office administrative work is still owed by DMJ, 3) Trailer washes at the Beacon were not reimbursed by Douglas Avery and DMJ; 4) The final two loads delivered under the DOT Authority of DMJ are still unpaid; 5) Douglas Avery and DMJ Transportation locked me out of the Comdata account I sent loads to and managed, thereby stealing the funds my trucks earned; and 6) the percentage deducted from the loads were inconsistent.

After June 2005, Douglas Avery and Marie Avery did visit their son in Hawaii with my money however. Lucky them!  DO NOT lease a truck to DMJ Transportation of Fairburn, Georgia or perform administrative duties for them, Douglas Avery and Marie Avery.  They are ripoff artists.
