I purchased a Samsung 42 inch large screen DLP TV June 03, 2004 for $3472.14. The TV did not switch on from time to time. I had it repaired by a Samsung authorized repair center in late 2004 . The DMD Board had to be replaced. Later in 2005 the problem started up again.
I contacted Samsung when the TV stopped working completely to propose a joint solution. I was hopeful that Samsung would not be happy with the preformance of this unit and would offer some help to repair it. I contacted Samsung Customer Care, which is just a waste of time as they have no authority to help.
I then contacted Mr. Sahil Mistry at Samsung Canada's Office of the President. He stone walled me. He would not even provide me with contact information to move my request along.

In a nut shell I have a 3500.00 Box in my basement. Samsung does not care that the product never really worked correctly.

Beware of Samsung they Do Not Stand Behind their poorly built products. No one has the expectation that they will need to buy a new TV every 2/3 years, no one except Samsung!
