Brought our/a 1 yr old canine in for an eye issue. She was squinting and showing eye discomfort. Told vet she also seemed to have dark spot in same eye. Diagnosed "eye pigmentation change" deemed harmless and sent home $77 dollars poorer. 1 week later back in, SAME eye much worse. Diagnosis: conjunctivitis. Called AHEAD of time to get office charge waived. She told me it was noted and in the chart, and we would see the other vet in the office.
Result: Charged $37 for an office call, plus $53 for eye stain and meds.
Very disappointed, and stated we should not be charged for another office call when this was clearly misdiagnosed. Also very alarmed, the receptionist "noted in chart" to waive office call which apparently means....nothing. Same eye, symptoms much worse, double charged.
I asked to speak to the person the receptionist kept bring my case to. The receptionist actually snickered at me and said "Oooooooooo Kay" like I was being silly. Put me on hold for 9 minutes -- then told me they could not speak to me.
She stated that until I paid in full we would not get medicine. I never alluded we would not be paying. Did that really need to be said?
