Was contacted by Getty Images regarding the usage of one of their pictures.  We do web work, and had an independent contractor use one of their images without paying for it.  Getty said we were accountable, and were on the hook for over $1200 for one crappy image.  Wouldn't negotiate, said that the image was absolutely worth more than that, and they were cutting us a deal.

We took the site down, and of course, ponied up for the image.  We spend thousands each year on images, and won't be doing business with Getty in the future.  Very disappointing experience.
