I see that I am not the first person to complain about Video Silo.

They convert camcorder tapes to DVD's. Their website is very impressive including testimonials, multiple contact numbers and "24/7" email support, and explanation of the very detailed and exact process for which my camcorder tapes would go through from me to them and then back again!

I paid for the conversion of 14 camcorder tapes on May 31. Their packing supplies including individualized envelopes for each tape and a prepaid postage return envelope arrived a few weeks later. On June 18, I was notified by email that my camcorder tapes had been received. So far, so good!

Their site is very clear that conversion of tapes to DVD's should take 5 business days. I am to get notification when the DVD's and my original tapes are in the mail back to me.

So when I had heard nothing for a few weeks I tried to contact Video Silo. For the past 10 days I have inundated all phone numbers and sent numerous emails, simply asking for a status of my invaluable camcorder tapes and assurance that they are secure! I have never gotten a human voice on the phone although I have tried every which way to get through the system! I received one email back on July 3 stating that Video Silo was sorry for the delay and that a manager would be getting back to me. That was 7 days ago.

I am getting VERY nervous. The tapes mean nothing to Video Silo but are invaluable to me containing the birth of two children and precious moments that I can never see again if I don't get those tapes back!

I am not worried about a delay. I just want to talk to someone or hear from someone via email that my tapes are O.K. and on the way.

They should not be in the business of handling other people's precious good and getting away with not communicating when there are major delays and or problems!
