Netflix ripped me off also.

I used their services for about 6 months. And have to agree that their service did slow down greatly. And there were some bad DVD’s. Also in the 2nd month I sent a DVD back and they said that they didn’t receive it and I would have to pay for it. I sent them a nasty E-mail.

3 or four weeks later they said the got the DVD back.

Then a month before I quit them they did it again. This time they charged me for it. So I quit them. Enough is enough.

an easy way to deal with this

AUTHOR: Charles - Ferndale (U.S.A.)

i had netflix since it's inception, and cancelled it about a year ago. i was always having problems with lost dvds, either that i never received or that they never received. there is a simple solution, which is reporting it as lost. they will not bill you for anything that is reported as lost, which in all honesty would be a good way to rip them off! i never did that though. i'm pretty sure that the postal employees are the ones to blame. they see "netflix" on the sleve, and steal them. i NEVER had a problem with our old mail man, but when we got a new one, all of a sudden i was not getting about one in every three dvds ordered.

trust me though, they will not bill you for dvds reported as lost. they did send me an email after a while stating that my account may be suspended because of the high volume of lost dvds, but i wrote them back insisting that "i am a collector of dvds, and have no use for scratched up discs with no cases, and that i know other netflix users who have the same problems, so don't accuse me of stealing anything". i never got a response, and they never did anything to my account, except for ripping me off when i canceled it! read about that on this site if you care...

Same happened to me recently with Netflix.

AUTHOR: Connie - Spring (U.S.A.)

I also had an account with Netflix, that I cancelled during the beginning of the summer because my kids were going to stay with their father a couple months, and I wasn't going to need the movies/charges while they were gone. A couple months past, then last month, I had a debit of $24 from my checking account. I contacted Netflix, and they claimed it was for a dvd I never returned. I emailed them, never returned? I never received, and my account was cancelled so I didn't expect it! I get continuous emails returned from my responses, all from a different person randomly receiving them asking for me to recant the story all over again, and with no solution, or acknowledgment. They simply STOLE the money unexpectedly from my checking account with an automatic debit. I mean, they could have emailed me and asked me about the dvd, and brought it to my attention, and we could have figured out something prior. Maybe they use this technique, ( "sending" out supposed dvd's, that are never received far too often and coincidental to SO many people), as a method to squeeze whatever last pennies they can from members who cancel their service?

Never Had a problem in 3 years

AUTHOR: Robin - Fort Wayne (U.S.A.)

I have had netflix for 3 years, had to cancel it once for about a month or 2, then started it right back up. I have had 3-5 dvd's lost in the mail and never been charged, but I reported them lost. I figured out, I think, what happened to 2 of the lost dvd's, I happened to see someone messing with the mail boxes at my apartment complex one night. So I started to mail them during the day and it hasn't happened yet, knock on wood.

There is one thing I don't understand, why they have a 2 movie available to ship, and they ship one on Friday and wait till Monday to ship the other, but I emailed them, maybe they will tell me. I love my netflix.
