Long story with this crook Dennis Riley. Paid him good money to supply me with 15 quality bongo drums for my distribution company in Orlando, never received the drums and all my calls were ignored. I found Dennis on his e-bay store, which is now closed down due to violating ebay's user agreement. The only thing I had on him was his home address, so I drove down there with a friend and was greeted by some clown without a shirt on calling himself Michael who tried explaining to me how "Dennis" had been dead for two years. He tried rushing me off the property and threatened me with a shotgun.
When I arrived home my answering machine was full of messages, garbled gibberish I couldn't understand. Some of them had threats of rape with the line "I'll probably cut up your p***y face." I had to install a phone tracing system in my home to stop these calls because I didn't know where they were coming from, the number was private. One of the messages sounded exactly like the man who chased me off the property, before I bought a phone tracing system, I received no less than 4 calls a day from these freaks.
After doing a google search on Dennis and his business I found multiple complaints about the quality of his merchandise and the way he handles the transactions. Over 50% of his customers were unsatisfied, and many were actually disgusted. I also found a youtube and myspace account, which showed the pictures of the family and the man who chased me off the property, along with some recordings of the very calls I had received on my answering machine. Apparently, his son, Michael E Riley, was responsible for threatening me and my roommate Jane, recording it, and sharing it will all his friends.
The police were notified and within the next couple days the recordings of the calls were gone, after a few weeks I tried calling the Riley residence and it told me the number was disconnected and no longer in service. I even drove down to the address and found that most of the rugs and potted plants outside were gone, the house itself looked empty. I didn't go inside or try to knock in fear of getting my head blown off by the psycho Michael. The authorities told me that the house itself was empty a couple days later and the family skipped town. I hired a pi to look up some records as the damage to my business and homelife had been great by this time. No current whereabouts were found, but apparently another e-bayer contacted me saying he's holding up with George and Shirlanne Turner at 224 North Prairie Street
Pilot Point, TX 76258, who have a warrant for their arrest.
If you live in Texas or Florida please be on the lookout for these people and their shady, hostile business practices. It would save you a lot of time and money if you do.
