Change of names, new company names and just keep scamming!
There is the Nuapapu island property scam by Gordon Allison marketed through “Escape Tonga” (one of a number of supposed entities used by Allison) Is just like going down a rabbit hole it gets worse and worse the further down you go.
I could not believe all that was written about Gordon Allison, but having access to a lot of information here in TBU I checked the information that was on the various blogs and this is what I found to be factually true;

1) The land in question has been leased to Gordon Allison’s outfit under false pretences. There was a Tenancy agreement in place prior to Gordon’s lease and yes the maps may have been meddled with. So yes, he has done something illegal.
2) Gordon went out of his way to screw over one Richard Mortimer – land lease holder under a Tenancy Agreement and one Eric Stark.
3) Nothing I was able to dig up actually supports that Gordon Allison has a criminal record or that he was convicted for any similar frauds in the kingdom.
4) Gordon Allison is well known for his generosity here in TBU, some would call it corrupt to bribe, others would say it’s the way of doing business here. So it is true, he did “bribe” a lot of the right people.
5) Gordon Allison did take out a defamation case against a vava’u real estate agent, while not proven it seems that the relator was scared for his life and packed up and left Tonga in a hurry. did Gordon threaten him or his child as alleged? who knows. why didn’t that realtor take legal action against Allison?
6) Yes, the marketing of the The Nuapapu development by Escape tonga is false and misleading, firstly escape Tonga is fictional trading name, it is NOT a registered company or legitimate business here in the kingdom of Tonga nor is it a registered company or business in Australia or New Zealand where Gordon Allison is promoting his scam;
7) Gordon’s lease on the property which is open to dispute, will not stand up in court due to prior contracts on the land to others. The local owners most likely will be taken over the coals for this one. Someone ought to let them know.
8) Yes, The land has a caveat on it’s title which means Gordon Allison is not allowed to keep on promoting /selling - it seems he still is selling it- screaming “classic fraud” an decent human being would never be selling a property under question by the court to unsuspecting buyers. Gordon Allison is doing exactly that.
9) Yes, Gordon blatantly lies to his investors about all kinds of things, for example; the development is marketed as 99 year lease when the current and technically illegal lease is for 20 years (18 years left as of January 2010) and
10) There was never ANY approval for subdivision so the properties are not on individual lots, as such real property value is none existent.
11) No building permits were ever approved for the Nuapapu development making all current construction at Nuapapu illegal (6 have been actually built to completion, 16 have been “sold”).
Gordon uses other aliases and various company names to avoid detection, he markets to foreign markets (Australia, New Zealand the US, and Europe).

Gordon Allison with his son Alan Allison are involved in this fraud through ANOTHER company called Pasifiki Island Developments, they call it the Port Maurelle Project, and they market it to foreigners namely, Australians, New Zealanders and Americans as a 99 year lease hold development. These are the facts about this deal;
1) Neither Gordon Allison nor his “development” companies such as the "new" Pasifiki Island projects Ltd seem to be currently holding any land leases at Port Maurelle.
2) The story goes like this; Gordon assuming the locals totally stupid and easily told what to do by the Noble (Fakatulolo Noble of Falevai), he went in to wine and dine the Noble. Gordon, assumed that the Noble is as stupid as his locals. Having wined the noble, Gordon proceeded to assume that Port Maurelle will be “his”... The Noble saw right through Gordon and his bag of Con man tricks.
3) That has not deterred Gordon Allison from Marketing his Development project of houses on the web to foreigners and taking deposits for the none existing project. Again, 100% rip off job here.
4) This project shows drawings of “houses for sale” right on the public reserve areas. the fraud goes on and on and on listing well over 60 acres of completely public land and private leases held by other parties meanwhile the rightful owners of the land leases are unaware of this fraud .
5) Gordon Allison is advertising a fictional 99 year leasehold properties for sale to unsuspecting foreigners as “an investment”. No 99 year leases existing at all on Port Maurelle.
Scam Number three; scam value $ approximately TOP $15,500,000.00
Coral Gardens, Matamaka village.
1) This “development of 46 holiday houses” seems little more than a figment of Gordon Allison’s imagination, No leases with his name or his company names can be found .
2) Gordon Allison’s website; http:/www.tongadevelopments.com states the following “ Adjacent to Nuapapu Island Villas is Coral Gardens. With the same great facilities and 46 villas offering equally diverse garden and sea views, fully furnished packages start at just AUD $150,000.”
3) As a bare minimum Gordon is set to defraud hundreds of gullible investors to the tune of TOP $37.5800,000.00
Finally, do I think Gordon Allison is a fraudster? Oh yes.
Do I hold him responsible? No. Tongan authorities are to blame. Tongan authorities talk a whole lot of horse shit about how they love their beloved Tonga, all the while they take bribes and in effect “sell” their beloved Tonga for a few thousand p’anga, and by turning a blinds eye to things like Gordon Allison’s abuses of our country, they sell it out again.
