National Warranty Of Florida, Inc Prizm Lyndon Property Ins, Failed to pay claim for an item that was covered under the warranty policy. Wheat Ridge, Colorado

I had a Recreational Vehicle Service agreement with National Warranty of Florida that was originated on October 8, 2005 and is a six (6) year agreement. The warranty agreement price paid was $1,735.00.

On August 21, 2009, my Dometic Refrigerator RM 2862, Serial #44503397 failed. I contacted a RV repair center for service. The service specialist diagnosed the problem to be the cooling unit. I was advised that the repair was labor intensive, and it would not be economically feasible to do the repair. There are no repair facilities in NE Michigan that works on this type of cooling unit. It was apparent that the only alternative was to replace the refrigerator.

Corey’s RV contacted National Warranty of Florida, and an estimate was requested. The cost to replace the refrigerator, including labor, was $1,688.65. Based on my search of the World Wide Web, this cost (which included tax, labor, and material) seemed fair.

The claim has been denied. The claims division of National Warranty has been considerably less than helpful in this process.

The replacement of the defective unit has been completed and has been paid. I had to pay the replacement myself, due to the warranty claim being denied.

In addition, there is an unpaid claim in the amount of $75.00 for food spoilage.

Do not, under any circumstances, do business with these people.
