To Whom it may concern,
I got talked into signing up for an upgraded website that takes more than just gift cards for my new SMC account. I had paid for services in good faith.
I was told that it would take them 14 days to get the upgraded site up and running. I had paid $501.00 for this upgrade. A few days later I had a change of heart and submitted my cancellation of this upgraded service via e-mail as per verbal instructions by an eMC customer support person.
I followed the instructions and submitted the upgrade cancellation and request and refund. I get an e-mail stating that it will take them up to 30 days to concider my request and either will or will not grant my request.
I called customer support one more time and enquired as to measures were being taken to stop the construction of the site and what that phrase in the email meant. According to the tech, they said that there is no guarantee that I will be able to get my $501.00 refund on this prepaid purchase and that the website upgrade order had been stopped.
Totally furious I hung up the phone on the customer support rep I was talking to. It felt like the walls of hell were closing in on me. For the first time in my life I had truley been violated by a supposed reputable company (or so thats what they said when I signed up for service).
All I wanted was my refund and what I received is a headache. I just want my money back and now I am also asking for some form of compensation for all of the harm, suffering and mental anguish that eMC has caused me.
Thank You
Lisa

It has been quite some time now. I received a chargeback from my credit card company with reguards to this case. 4 days after I got my chargeback. I received a letter from EMerchantClub stating that should I do a chargeback with reguards to this transaction that I might still be responable to have to repay all of the money with reguarding services which I'd never received.
I also found out that they are directly associated with SMC Specialty Merchandising Corporation. I had been with this company for less than a month and have just submitted my notice of cancellation. I'm just really curious as to how they will react.
As per contract, I have submitted my letter of cancellation to SMC/eMC within my first 30 days of membership with them. All their literature has been returned to them as per agreement. I am supposed to be getting back all monies paid them with reguards to this account.
Since I have been with this company. I bought some $10.00 gift cards so that I could get some business to my Free Gift Card site. Started getting all of these emails from people I handed the cards out to. They were totally furious and made me out to look like a laughing stock.
The lowest shipping rate on that site was $10.00. Here I get these cards to help others with their purchase only to find out that they were totally worthless. I bought 15 cards and wound up with 15 angry people sending me emails and no money spent at my website. Now I'm out of the gift cards as well as out of the money I spent for them.
These people are the most ruthless people I have ever come accross. They are very sly and devious. I'm not about to let them get the best of me.
