Recently I purchased a new car and was looking for the cheapest possible deal on insurance after 9 years of being stationed abroad. I found several references to www.landainsurance.com on the internet.

I purchased insurance and imediately realized the product I recieved (insurance cards) were extremely shady looking. I did some more research and was able to determine that number for the "insurance agency" is a cell phone number and the address provided is for an apartment complex in Texas.

I contacted the company that my "insurance cards" said I was underwritten for and they verified the policy number I was given matched a medicare policy for a woman in Iowa.

I recieved a letter from their attorney stating that Bob Warren and Landa Insurance are not insurance agents for their company, underwriters, and that the particular company doesnt even sell car insurance.

I recieved my money back via chargeback.

I also contacted the Texas Department of Insurance and filed a criminal complaint. I recieved a letter notifying me that the company is not a licensed company in texas and the identity of the individuals could not be validated. They told me the complaint has been forwarded to the Fraud and law enforcement division for their action.

During this time I've filed 2 complaints with GoDaddy.com and provided all the official and legal letters and proof that I had been scammed by this company. The only response I got was a copy and paste reply.

I could understand if I was just complaining and had nothign to back it up, but I have letters from an attorney and the texas department of insurance validating my claim.

Godaddy is failing to exercise good judgement and customer care in this action. They should be ashamed of themselves. Looking back on it now, I can easily see the website is a fake.

Chris is filling a false complaint against Landa

AUTHOR: Dr. David K - Dallas (U.S.A.)

I have been a Dallas resident for over 50 years.

I have meet Bob and his team many times and have been using Landa Insurance for both my commercial and private insurance.

Chris is working for a competing insurance company that can not compete with Landa's rates. His company is struggaling while Landa gains more customers because they do not overprice premiums.

It is a shame trash like this is posted on the Internet.

I would suggest to Chris that he stop overpricing premiums.

Sincerely,

Dr David K -Dallas Resident

Chris- Back up my story

AUTHOR: Chris - Toms River (U.S.A.)

Anyone who wishes to contact me, may contact the websites adminstrator for the email address I used to post my previous comment with. I gave my permission for them to give it out.

I will provide you with the letters validating that Landa is fake, and the proper contact information for the Texas Department of Insurance, as well as their website to look up licensed insurance agencies and agents operating in Texas. Landa insurance is not one of them.

You can use the website or call their hotline and provide any information you get from Landa Insurance and they will tell you it's fake.

I'll also provide tips on getting your money back. I did.

Google the Texas Department of Insurance and call them and ask for the enforcement division, and they will inform you, also you can look for licensed insurance companies in Texas here:

https://apps.tdi.state.tx.us/pcci/pcci_search.jsp

they do not appear.

Secondly, do a reverse look up of the phone number they provide. It's a cell phone number.

third, they use a gmail account…for a ‘real' insurance company you'd think they could afford to pay the $5 for a domain registered email address.

Also, go to yahoo answers and search for landa insurance, or landa insurance scam, etc. There are quite a few people there who got into accidents after having landa insurance and got stuck because it turned out to be fake.

Godaddy.com is not responsible for actions of their customers.

AUTHOR: Wilson - Walnut Creek (U.S.A.)

Godaddy.com is just the registrar of the domain names that they sell or park. They are not responsible for the possible illegal activies that their customers do with the domain names that they purchase, i.e., domain names for websites to sell illegal drugs, prostitution, or other illegal activities.

Similarly, your county registrar's office, which is usually tasked with the recording of fictitious business names, is not responsible for criminal activities under those fictitious business names, e.g., Silky Smooth, a massage parlor which is fronting prostitution.

Go daddy is responsible

AUTHOR: Chris - Toms River (U.S.A.)

Go daddy becomes responsible for the activity of their customers once they are informed of activity. According to ICANN domain registration policies they have a duty to be responsible for them.

I would understand if they didnt act on a simple email accusing the domain of fraud, but I provided letters from law enforcement verifying it was a scam, as well several other forms of proof.

This isnt a first with godaddy either. A little googling reveals they dont really care if their domains are used for fraud.
