On 09/01/11 my credit card was charged for Hosting Services that apparently were auto-renewed. As for some "odd" reasons all the Godaddy e-mails landed in my Spam Folder I called them up today, 09/15/11 to cancel Hosting Services since my website is actually hosted by Amazon for the last 2 years or so. The agent I spoke with was very courteous and helpful and canceled my Hosting Service and generated a Refund Request for me. I received an e-mail a few minutes later, stating that my Refund request was denied.
I am appalled by the fact, that I am being charged for a service I am not using. I did not even request a refund for the past 2 years, but only for this year. I canceled the service within 14 days of my credit card being charged.
They did however refund charges for Website Tonight, another service I have not used for the past 2+ years. That refund was a whopping $ 4.99, only for 1 month.
I start to understand why most of my associates and Webmasters I know decline using Godaddy...
I called the Billing Department the same day, and was told that they couldn't approve the Refund, because it was requested too soon (??), but I should receive another e-mail for a Refund. Yes, that refund was for the $ 4.99 for ONE month of Website Tonight....
I am curious why 1 Refund was initiated while the other one was denied if both were on the same invoice.
I will move ALL my services for all of my domains elsewhere, and I will absolutely make certain that all of my associates will do the same.

I am not certain if Ripoff Report or Twitter was the tipping point for Godaddy to resolve the issue amicably. The refund was initiated today!
