I own a business and purchased a business webhosting account from NetFirms.com. At the Time of my purchase, I seen an add on Netfirms.com which offered a $ 35.00 Google Addwords Cupon with each Purchase of a Business Account. ( This Google Addwords Cupon helped me decide to go with Net Firms)

Net Firms Advertises thier Google Addwords Cupon as follows :

Your Netfirms ADVANTAGE hosting plan includes a FREE Google(c) AdWords(TM) $35 coupon to kickstart your website's traffic with online advertising

After establishing my webhosting account I tried to download my addwords cupon. I discovered that there was an Error in the system. I called customer service, and emailed customer service several times, and was finally told after a week of calling and emailing, that the codes that they were given were not good. Customer service advised that they were waiting on Google to send new code so they could issue the cupons to new customers.

I waited and waited and finally received and email with the new Google Addwords Cupon. When I tried to use the cupon I received a message from Google that this cupon # and promotion had expired and was no longer any good.

I called net firms back and was given poor customer service. I requested a refund or credit for $ 35.00 since the google addwords cupon that they issued was invalid. they told me that I was " out of luck" and they told me that " No refund will be issued"

I dont feel that this is fair. If you pay for a service, you expect a service and that is definitely what I am not getting!

In My Opinion thier customer service sucks.

But who am I? I am just a Business Owner!!

I will never deal with this company again!

Just wanted to address this complaint. We attempted to find this persons file at Netfirms but not enough information was present in the complaint for us to search.

We are still actively promoting the Google Adwords coupons however it appears that at the time Chris was attempting to redeem his code was around the time that the coupons assigned to us by Google had expired. We acknowledge that we may not have been able to provide one to him immediately as we were waiting for a new block of coupons to be issued to us by Google however once those new coupons were issued to us we would be able to provide one to him.

We would have advised him that we would not be able to issue a credit or refund for the $35 coupon but we would not under any circumstances have told him that he was "out of luck". If he was experiencing an issue with the Adwords coupon then we could investigate the issue and if needed, issue a new code to him.

Clients who take advantage of the Google Adwords coupon must also realize that they are bound by Google's terms of service which indicate that these coupons may only be used on NEW Google Adwords accounts and that Google will not accept the codes if used on an existing active Google Adwords account.

If Chris is still interested in having this issue resolved he may contact us again.
