I was skeptical when I first considered using an off-shore company to do my website. But the prices for the designer I chose was only $10.00 per hour. You can't touch that in the USA. I should have listened to myself.  I used Elance.com to find a web designer and found Softinfosolutions.com.  It is run by a man named Rupak Banerjee.  He is out of Kolkata, India.

We set up instant messaging to communicate and he began designing my site without any money down.  It took two weeks for me to decide whether or not to use this company, so I wasn't rushing into anything.  Rupak seemed to be very honest and upfront.  I was concerned about what would happen if our relationship eroded for whatever reason, and I was right.

At times Rupak Banerjee was difficult to talk to. He would become angry over questions or things I wanted to do with the site and he would then become withdrawn and not talk to me for days at a time.  Is this anyway to run a company?  This behavior continued from time to time over the last year and one half since we started my project.  Of course, I had already paid him for his services, at first with minimal payments of $200.00 here and there.  The total amount for the site was to be $1000.00.  I even paid him an extra $200.00 upon completion of the site as a token of gratitude for a job well done. 

The site was finished and I was pretty well satisified with it.  Every time that I wanted to make a change it was another $20 - $50.00, which I paid without any discussion. 

Rupak then offered to host the site for only $50.00 per year, which I agreed to.  That takes us to about two months ago when I noticed my site was down.  It had not been producing as well as I liked and I didn't need to check it for new business very often.  I contacted Rupak and he told me that his server was attacked by a virus and even his site was down too. His site is now up and running. Check out www.softinfosolutions.com and see for yourself.  He said my site would be back up in a day or two.  That time came and went and he always said it would be a couple of more days.  Every time I contacted him he was very short with me and said the same thing, another day or two.

I threatened to post  negative reviews,(my only recourse at this time), if he didn't get my site back up.  I also asked him to return  my last payment of $50.00  for the hosting I paid back in June of this year.  No response.  He did say that he couldn't find the upload files for my site.  I told him that this was not my problem and asked what he intended to do about it.  No response.

My recomendation is to stay away for Softinfosolutions.com, and Rupak Banerjee for you web design and hosting needs.  I am out about $2000.00 and I have nothing to show for it except aggravation.
