I recently signed up for the so called freecreditreport.com. I had the service for month but did not think of cancelling this service.

Over thanksgiving break I noticed a charge on my checking account for some CIC Triple advantage for 12.95. I had no idea what this was. When I googled the address I got pages apon pages of complaints about unauthorized charges and that they were related to this freecreditreport.com.

I had no idea that I had authorized any charges to my account from this company nor had I set up any payment plan with them. Unfortunately I was forced to wait until monday to dispute this charge with my bank. I checked my account again online before I was going to head into my bank to make sure I had a hard copy when I went it. Also had printed up pages of these complaints. When I checked my account I noticed AGAIN another charge this time from a MNI Creditrpt for 11.95. This was the direct for freecreditreport.com. I went to my bank immedicately and filed a claim. I then called the number for freecreditreport.com to dispute the charges directly with them. Not only would they not refund my money, they wouldn't even discuss the charges and the person I spoke to denied that they had an accociation with Triple Advantage. My bank found these charges to be ligitimate. LIGITIMATE? I at no time authorized a charge for 12.95 or 11.95 from either company. I later looked at the website and noticed that it said on it that if I did not cancel that Triple advantage and triple advantage alone would charge me 14.95 per month until I cancelled the account. Funny how when I signed up in bold letter before I entered my information said "YOUR CARD WILL NOT BE CHARGED." Rergardless how did 14.95 turn into 24.90! I don't remeber seeing this charge before but that is not what they ended up charging me. This website is a fraud and every person should report them to the better business bureau as I have and I'm sure many others.
