House Of Brides House of brides goes out of business and steals my dress Mobile Alabama

I went to the house of brides in Oct, picked out a dress, told them my wedding date (Feb 16) and started paying for my dress by check in the mail. In Nov, when I went down there to pick it up (after being fully paid for) they had closed down. When you call the number you get nothing but the answer machine. I cannot contact anyone, even when I complained to their website, still no one...

It almost seems like the owner skipped town. All I wanted was to pick up my dress, but instead I get money stolen from me! I am so angry, there has to be some kind of way to get my money back. And its not just me, alot of people had paid them, the machine is offering refunds but gives no contact information. And the website gives you the run around. What can I do?
